For now, 2017-2018, until the internet can get some more speed and a wider bandwidth to support our growing technology needs at HMB, I will be limiting our 'live' use of YouTube in my music classes.
Video 'Comments' for the Class
These are videos that I believe could be of great interest to you. They are what I believe to be of varied and interesting subjects - from concerts around the world; from famous virtuosos, popular artists and performing groups along with trends that 'someday' you will remember what you were taught 'back at HMB.' I also figure that you may never see some of these performances 'live' in your lifetime.
There will also be documentaries, unique historical teaching sessions as well as individual presentations of many 'unique' musical instruments and other interesting musical creations. You will be observing programs with different styles and genre's of music from all sorts of types of performers, etc.
In other words, hopefully these videos will not be 'boring' to you.
Final note: I certainly do not 'expect' you to 'like' or 'learn to like' each one of these video programs - but you must be willing to allow yourself to be challenged to grow in your maturity and critical thinking skills during any discussions that might possibly follow these 'video presentations.'
